White Cake With Strawberries Baked In

Please help!!!! i am making a cake for a good friend of mine. she wants white cake with pieces of strawberries baked into the cake- not a filling. i have never seen this before and dont know if fresh strawberries would bake well? or should i use dried?

I would not use dry, they will not hydrate. If you use real strawberries, cut them the size of blueberries. Otherwise, depending on your batter, they will sink to the bottom.

I've done this with cupcakes. While the taste was good they were a little "slimey".
