Hi there,

A friend of mine asked me for a cake for her sister who's turning 23.
She wants a simple round cake with a ribbon and bow around the cake and flowers on top.
She wants the cake covered in baby blue fondant and I'm not sure, other than white, which colours to use for the flowers... I don't want to only do white as it will look too... Tifany'ish and she is only 23!! I want it to be youthful and fun...

What do you think? any ideas??
Thanks in advance,
Laura

I think a mixture of yellow and white flowers will go well with a blue cake icon_smile.gif

I don't think the color of the flowers is as important as the kind of flowers you use. I would stay away from roses, peonies, etc. Flowers like poppies, anemones and especially daisies have a more youthful look.

I'm doing a pale blue cake in a few weeks for a 13 year old girl, i'm going to put pale pink ribbon roses on top and thin white strips about 2 inches apart down the sides. Look forward to seeing what you decide upon icon_smile.gif
