Save yourself the trouble - Wilton has a burgandy gel icon_smile.gif

Just made some burgandy buttercream to decorate with tomorrow.

Please do not use Wilton burgundy food coloring. I waste two batch of frosting because it has yucky taste after I add my coloring.

I use Pink and a little bit of purple and it works :-) Good luck

ADepends on the color of burgundy...a purpleish or reddish...If you want a red burgundy I use red and chocolate fondant.

red burgundy = red with a bit of brown

purplish burgundy (aka wine) = pink with a bit of purple and just the barest touch of black if needed
