Who is baking the wedding cake? (all you need to do is decorate it?)

I think before you are a cake business, you should already know how to decorate a wedding cake, know what to charge, and know how to run your own business along with everything else that goes along with it. Have you written a business plan? Sorry, I can't help to answer all of your questionsI think you need to do more research on your own or learn more by taking classes or get a job at a bakery.

Do you know these customers, do they know have never decorated a wedding cake? If it's not anytime soon maybe you could practice. As far as pricing...no one can help you unless they know some details, how many tiers/servings...what you plan to decorate it with, etc. Maybe gather some more details first, then ask again. Good luck to you!!

Truer words have never been typed... Welcome to CC, but I'm sorry to say that none of us can help you. If you are in business (i.e. legal) this is stuff you need to figure out on your own and need to do before accepting to do a wedding cake. If you are not legal then you are super-duper not going to like the direction this thread will most likely take. I suggest doing a search here on the boards for pricing to see what I mean.

Good luck,
Jen
