I always use vanilla, butter, almond, and creme bouquet in my buttercream frosting.
I have wanted to try other flavors, but most options for me are to order online. I have now found a local store that carries Lorann's flavors.
I bought the butter-vanilla, sweet dough, and princess ones.
I'm just wondering what the difference would be using these to my normal recipe.
I use 1 - 1 1/2 t vanilla, 1 t butter, 1/2 t creme bouquet, and 1/2 t almond.
Does the princess have a similar taste to the creme bouquet or is it all on it's own? Also, is the butter vanilla stronger, so I wouldn't need as much?
Just any information from those that have used these would be great! Thanks!
I only use almond, vanilla, or orange in my BC so I'm sorry I can't help but I am interested in knowing the answer to your question as well so if no one responds and you try it out let me know how it goes!
Thanks Leah!
I thought creme bouquet also had a little citrus in it, so just curious how different they are!
Princess is pretty overpowering so if you use it for frosting/icing go easy. Use a small amount and taste. I have used it a few times for frosting/icing but like Leah stick with adding to cake.
I'm not a fan of the butter-vanilla, a lot of people love it but I think it has an artificial taste to it that I don't like. I do use it stll because I have customers who really prefer it

I actually tried it yesterday. I used the butter vanilla, but smaller amount than when I just used vanilla and butter. I only put about a 1/4 t of the Princess in it. It definitely didn't overpower it with just that little amount.
My husband is my taste tester! He said it was really good, so we'll see how it goes!
Thanks for the info!
I can't wait to try some different flavors now. I am new to this and getting all kinds of awesome ideas from the forum.
i have used the princess, i use like a drop for every batch of buttercream i make, it gives it a fresher taste bc of the citrus flavor! it is really overpowering so less is more
