Hi all, just wondering if you are able to successfully freeze mudcake,or when you defrost it does it go yuk.Thanks.

It is a very rich cake with dark chocolate melted through it.

@paperfishies, Mudcakes are the type of cakes that mot Australians use. they are known for being very rich and extremely dense.
@rembrait, I freeze ALL of my cakes for atleast 24 hours to help them settle. I've never had a problem with mudcake

What is the difference between a regular chocolate cake and a mud cake? why would someone want one over the other?

I freeze mine all the time with no issues.

Claire138: A mudcake is made by melting chocolate, butter and liquid of some kind and mixing flour, eggs etc into the melted mixture. It's very rich, dense and delicious! Depends how rich and heavy you like your cake.
