I have to make a Pokemon cake soon and I have seen a few cakes on here incorporating the Logo ( wording/lettering as used in the movies) as a badge e.g Toy Story, Ben 10, Disney,
Can anyone tell me the best technic to make these, so that they look really professional and not just cut out. I hope this makes sense! Thanks for any advice xx

I did the Toy Story logo and I just printed it off, cut out the letters and placed them on the fondant. Used an x-acto knife and cut around so the letters were exact.

I do the same as kater82 - except I let it sit out for about 10 minutes or if I need it really quick I pop it in the freezer for about 5 minutes on quick freeze so that it's pretty firm. I think it's actually easier to use gum paste than fondant because gum paste starts drying quicker.
Also the other option is to invest in the cutting machine for cakes i.e. a silhouette but I haven't used that so can't really vouch for that.
