Hey everyone!

I'm in the process of trying to finish my outdoor kitchen, and it's time for me to purchase a convection oven. I'm very excited about this adventure that's getting ready to begin with me and my baking, but I need your help!! My husband and I want to find a good convection oven that will work great when baking lots of cupcakes at one time. We were interested in maybe a countertop convection oven. Can anyone give me any suggestions as to which brand would be the best to purchase? Thanks for any help that you can give me!

If you want a commercial, Deluxe makes a radiant/convection that is designed for baking. The fan is gentler. There is info on this oven. Call your restaurant supply company. It is about $3k, $800 for shipping, delivery, installation. They need a four wire 220 plug.

If you are talking about a regular (non-commerical) unit, I have tried a few and hate them all- for baking. All cheepy with lousy air flow and uneven baking. My regular full size residential KitchenAid units are great, so its like I don't use convection ovens.....

I did not know there were commercial counter top options.

The Deluxe is a countertop.

For residential and commercial, I have Kitchenaid True Convect ovens in both. Mine is a model designed for baking. It works so well that I put a double in my bakery.

Love that Kitchenaid stuff. icon_biggrin.gif I am just a hobby baker, but got hubby to spring for KA new "steam oven" that has a water line run to it and blows steam as it cooks. Pretty cool, but still have mastered how best to use it, and haven't had the guts to bake a cake in that mode--- but it is great for cheesecake.... and bread proofing.

Just wanted to be sure the OP was talking the high dollar end commercial grade stuff, and not the one sold for home use that is an embarrassment to call "convection".

if you are looking for a non-commercial, residential, i have a GE Cafe dual fuel convection oven that i love. it's not countertop sized though.

BTW, I was just referring to residential countertop convection ovens as being junk. I don't know if it is just me, or all residential countertops are useless.

There are many residential ovens... full sized that are junk too. I think we are both trying to warn buyers that all convection ovens are not created equal. Both of mine were about $3k each. You have to get up there in price if you plan on baking successfully in these ovens.

Lucky you! I chose to get the KitchenAid first. This one will hopefully come in the summer. CC members helped me pick the Deluxe.
