Hello all!
I have a bit of a dilemma on my hands and need some good advise.
Last night both of my kids woke up, my oldest at 1am and my youngest at 3am, they both threw up once and then went back to bed.
I am currently between rental kitchens and my new contract doesn't take effect until June 1st. I took a very small, last minute order for a friend of a friend as a favor but will have to bake it from home as I don't have access to my kitchen. Now, my question is......Do I cancel the order since the kids are sick? I know if I was the one who was sick its a no brainier, but what about the kids?? Thanks in advance for the advice.

You did not say when you will be making the cake. Is it today? Or is it for this weekend which gives you some time to sanitize and still bake? If I were the friend you were baking a cake for, I'd appreciate you calling and letting me make the decision - I'd tell you I'd just order it from elsewhere to just take care of your kids and not worry. If you are going to cancel - make sure to give your friend ample time to re-order it elsewhere.

I was going to bake today. Its for early Saturday. I need to know pretty quickly whether or not I should call her or just bake it. I don't want to leave her hanging! And to add, my oldest just woke up. Happy as a clam. Not sick or feeling bad.....I'm perplexed!

wish I could help.... just make sure you sanitize and keep the kids out of the kitchen. All the best.

I would try to get someone to take care of the kids and make the cake.

I agree with pummy..The customer doesn't care if your kids are sick...It's business... icon_wink.gificon_wink.gif
