I am doing a charity cookie sale for the CANCER RELAY FOR LIFE. I have started mixing my dough but was wondering about frezing the cookies. Can I freeze them with the glaze on them? If I can do this, what is the best way to wrap them for the freezer? Is it better not to the this. what is the best way to get them glazed? I am talking a lot of cookies using the awareness ribbon cutter.
Thank you so much!
Molly

I just looked up the freeze glaze question on Cookie Crazie blog post. She says no to that. She makes millions of cookies so I'll take her word for it.

Glazes tend to get "cloudy" and/or spotty in the freezer.

Shortbread cookies just get better with time! A week after they were baked is the proper time to be eating them.

I stack them in a tin on paper toweling and put another over them and put the lid on tight and hope no one gets nosy so they have time to mellow.

You are correct! There are no eggs in proper shortbread cookies!

Rolled buttercream on NFSC freezes well (with royal icing accents).
