I have been asked to do the cakes for graduation and cupcakes for the 8th grade prom by a local school. The cake needs to serve 150 people, and I need 150 cupcakes. The cake colors are green and gold, and the cupcakes are silver and green.
I was thinking for the cake....A 4 tier (square, diamond, circle, hexagon). Should I double these layers or use single layers? Any ideas on flavors and if doubles, any ideas on fillings?
For the cupcakes, I was just going to do basic cupcakes with bc, decorated with the edible glitter, and maybe purchase some toppers? Any suggestions on this would be great also.
I am trying to charge a fair price, so I was thinking about $150 for the cake and $100 for the cupcakes. It is being ordered by the PTA at school, which I am a member, and hopefully this will cover the cost of materials.
