I would like some advice on this cake my husband and I did this weekend. This is only the 6th cake we have ever decorated - the first in about a year - and the only one we have done that is this big and this detailed. It is a 12x18 sheet cake. I have two questions. This was a freebie we did for a friend and took several hours because it was very much trial and error. I would like a critique of this cake and advice on how to improve it as well as how much I could possibly charge for it. I haven't figured out just yet how much I have into the cake but I would say about $20 for the mix and products to make the icing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated? Also, does anyone know where to buy cake toppers? My friend was able to buy a Dora and Boots from the Walmart bakery that we put on the path. But I would like a supply store where I could buy them in bulk if necessary. Thanks for you help. Kris

I don't know much but I think your cake looks great and when pricing out how much to charge I think you should account how many hours of labor you put in...for example charging 5-10 dollars an hour....what is your time worth? And how big the cake is.
Also maybe you could buy little dora toys or print dora pics and put them on. I'm not sure. Or you could make MMF characters icon_smile.gif
Hope that helped some. Keep up the good work icon_smile.gif
