No flavor to homemade lollipop!! Help please!!!

When using the hard candy recipe to make lollipops, I add flavoring to the mix but when they harden they don't taste like the flavor. They taste like sugar & not the flavoring. What am I doing wrong?

I am using strawberry flavoring. is using emulsions better?

Are you using the really concentrated flavorings? Like the Lorann oil in the little bottles?

Texas, no I'm not using a those. Is that the same as emulsions?

if you are using the non concentrated you need to add quite a bit more.
