Ohhh! just went to Joanns and saw their stuff. Plus there is a %60 off coupon from the mail which made my purchase even cheaper. I did see that duff also has new stuff including an air brush and cake jewelery. I do have a question. I bought the old wilton gumpase flower kit and am wondering if i should buy the new one or if it's too much of a repeat. i did notice that they have a calla lilli mold, dogwood mold and a rose mold. ok, i think i just talked myself into buying it.
Sounds like you already convinced yourself, but I was just going to add that the new gumpaste flower kit has totally different things from the old kit and is worth buying even if you have the old one.
I was checking out all the new Wilton stuff too & if you go to Joann's & let's say you want 3 items, you can use three coupons but they have to be from different stores. One from Michael's, one from Hobby Lobby & maybe one from Joann's. Otherwise you can only use one coupon at a time in the other stores...unless you get a really nice person & they let you make separate transactions.
I want the new duff airbrush.. I don't care if it's not perfect..it's the cheapest airbrush and I only want to add shimmer or solid dark colors on buttercream cakes
has anyone used the edible paper from wilton? I have been wanting to play with rice paper, but have no idea where to buy it at. Saw it at hobby lobby the other day.
Has anyone tried the new dusts? They have pearl, metallic and colors.
The pearl dusts aren't new (the color dusts are, I don't know about the metallic.) I've had them for a few years now. I use the white/pearl colored one for pearls and the pink for cheeks on faces. They are not as pearly as the super pearl I bought from Jennifer Dontz, but they are pretty good for my purposes.
the color dusts aren't new either. i bought them from michaels last year when i did my wilton classes. thy didn't have the metalic set tho, but i have the other 2. the molds look pretty cool. i have never used one before. i got a michaels gift card for mothers day so i think i'll go check out all the new stuff!
Actually the color dusts are new now. They had shimmer dust and pearl dust, but that was all. I'm so glad they've come out with the color dust!

I didn't know they would do that! I wonder if they will do that at Joann's because I have used HobLob's coupons there but never will one of theirs too on another item! I'm going to have to try it! Thanks for the awesome tip!
I bought 2 of the new molds - with a 50%off coupon it was such a great deal. So easy to use.

Yes, the coupons each said 40% off one regular priced item. I bought 3 items yesterday...used a dfferent store's coupon for each item...Joann's is great that way. Hobby Lobby will not use anyones coupon but their own.
Who had the 50% coupons & where did you get them?
Kathie, thanks for the info. I'm going to be taking advantage of that for sure! Wish I had know that last week.
Yes, msulli10, where were the 50% coupons?!?
Sign up at AC Moore on line and you will get 50% off coupons periodically. When I do, I print out a whole bunch. Michael's accepts AC Moore coupons and vice versa (at least where I live).
I have to get on line a bunch of times because they will only allow 1 coupon per order. I usually make my hubby come along to help

Well, thank you much! Joann's also takes AC Moore coupons! Now I can use, AC Moore, Hobby Lobby, Michael's & Joann's all at the same time on FOUR different items! WOW! I need to go back out shopping! Taking a friend too for extra savings!
I just bought the veiner and ethnic mold sets and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The molds are good sized, thick, and have well defined patterns that transfer clearly onto the gumpaste. I used the leaf veiner and was pleased with the realistic imprint. It works well with multiple sized cutters, too.
I like this new product line and hope to see more.

Never heard of AC Moore. I looked it up and the closest one to me is almost 600miles away! I have a feeling my Joann's won't accept their coupons. Thanks for the info though!
Thanks, SaraBeth, but I bet Joann's WILL accept AC Moore's coupons even though they are so far away. Won't hurt to try. All signed up & I am just waiting for my AC Moore coupon to come in now.
i went to my Michaels yesterday and they are currently doing inventory. so not only is the store a complete mess, they barely have any product and NONE of the new stuff out yet
wow that is so nice if you have the 3 stores in your area, I live in southern California and we only have Michael's & Joan's but wo don't have AC Moore crafts stores or Hobby Lobby here I don't know why. I am also glad that wilton is coming up with all this new cake decorating items I have to go and check out Michael's
While everyone is talking about great coupons, I just saw in the Michael's ad that they are having a sale on bakeware - buy 2 get 1 free! I'm not sure if it would end up being a bigger savings than a 40% off coupon but I thought I'd mention it!
Thanks for sharing Yummy_in_my_tummy!
Kathie, I went to Joann's and used a HL and Micheal's coupon & it worked just like you said. Thanks so much!
I have a Joann's right next to Michaels, but I didnt know you can use a Michaels coupon in Joann's! I love the new stuff Wilton is coming up with, does anyone know if there Icing Sheets can be used in the Cake Cricuit?
Just print on the place where it says "printable coupons"

I tried the new sugar sheets in my Cricut cake this weekend. It worked great. I used it for letters. The letters can't be too intricate, but it does work great. I left the backing on the sheet and held it on the cutting mat with a thin layer of shortening.

Sillywabbitz...... I bought my airbrush a couple of yars ago from TCPGLOBAL.com it's not fancy or top of the line, but it works well for my needs. I paid $58.00 for mine and it came with 4 americolour airbrush colours.
I checked the website it's now $69.00 which is still cheap cheap.
this is the one I have......
sku ABD KIT-CAKE-G23-22
they have a good selection and many prices.
HTH
PTBugzy1,
Thanks that is a good price and since it looks like free shipping it's a bit cheaper than the Duff and it comes with 4 colors. I am planning on doing a duck cake for my brother in law in July and to get the right look I'm going to have to invest in an airbrush At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
