I need help! I had a blonde moment while trying to make my icing. Is there any way to recover a bad batch of BC. Here is what I've done -
2 sticks of butter and 1 cup of Crisco 2Pds of sugar. I've mixed and mixed the icing is heavy,(not fluffy) looks like cottage cheese and is sticking to the sides( having to very scrape the sides down) but it looks like it to moist. Is there any hope for it and me. LOL

Thanks

Did you add any liquid to begin with? If not add liquid by tablespoons if you did add liquid and you think you added too much I think I would try dividing what you have in half and adding more powder sugar a couple cups at a time. Then beat until fluffy. Might be best to divide it in half either way you go. Good Luck! and there is always hope if we're not making mistakes we are not trying anything new. What's the fun in that :0)
