Hi, I'm new here in CC and I've seen alot of post about cottage food law in other states, but not nevada...how come?
I live by northern nevada and I was planning to participate for the farmer's market in our town end of the month but need to use a commercial kitchen and I don't have the best of luck... living in a small town there's no kitchen rental/incubator available and there's only a handful of restaurants here and I've asked them all and even gave them sample of my cupcake. They said it was delicious but their answer was either a "no", or didn't call me back
... I found one but she's in the process of selling her shop so if I do get permitted for using that place, the health dept gave me a heads up that if there's going to be a new owner that I have to-reapply for the permit and pay again!
When I first thought of doing the farmer's market it's more of a fun thing to do and see If my cupcakes will actually sell and maybe pursue it as a business but right now it's just turning into a hassle and pain in the tush... so... anybody know's how I/we (nevadans!) can put a petition for our state? or does it have to be by county? will take any suggestion or help
