I got an airbrush for Mother's Day! Yay! I don't know anything about them! I do have one airbrush color though! Can someone please give me the basics? For instance....Do I need to thin the airbrush color even more with vodka? Can I use regular Americolor colors and thin them? What PSI should I aim for? Any help at all you can give me would be AWESOME? TIA!

You didn't say whether your airbrush is single or dual action, but add the type of airbrush that you have to the search parameter. For cakes, most work will probably be between 10 and 20 PSI. Airbrush colors are ready to use, but you can thin them a bit with water or vodka for lighter application of color. While you can thin gel colors, they should be strained through a coffee filter to remove any "buggers" that may clog your gun. It is safer and easier to just buy the airbrush colors.
