Candy Melts

Help! I'm making a graduation cap and I froze candy melts for the top flat part of the cap. Came out perfect but I needed to cut to size and it cracked! Is there a way to fix this b/c I'm covering with a thin layer of fondant. I don't want to start over if I don't have to.

Nevermind guys. Looks like I fixed the problem. I melted more chocolate and brushed it on where it was cracked and "glued" it back together. Popped it in the freezer again for a couple of minutes. Worked like a charm. Whew!

For future refference, you need to cut the chocolate before it's completely hard.
A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands!

or maybe invest in some square shaped chocolate molds. You can melt the candy melts and just pour them in until hardened. pop them out and youve got your square.

A heated knife blade will allow you to cut chocolate as well, but don't do it when it's totally frozen. Let it warm back up, and you can cut it that way.
