It's not a trivia question i swear.

I'm in the VERY early stages (read VERY) of putting together a business plan. I know it's not really time to start worying about a business name yet, but since that's one of the few things I can do right now, I thought i would try to get that nailed down.

So, i ask you... How would YOU pronounce my username? (Cakification)

I love the term, my Fiance uses that word to describe the state of our house after i make a cake, but since it's a made up word, i don't know if people will "get it".

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I've taught six of my nine children to read using phonics..
Your name is pronounced:
Kak if i ( short i) kay shen

mommmachris

As a mother of a Zebedee..I feel your confusion.
It's Zeb ed e ( long e)
not Zee bee dee......oh, please.

If I saw that as a store name I wouldn't be able to pronounce it. Not because I don't know how to sound things out but because it would frustrate me... and I've got a college education. That's just my opinion on it. icon_smile.gif

I would pronounce it cake-if-fa-cation but if you're looking for feedback I think non-cake people may not get it. And sadly there is a cable series called Californication and that's what I think of when I read your name and trust me that is not what you're going for unless you want to specialize in naughty cakesicon_smile.gif

Out of context (i.e. if this post were not on cake central) I would probably pronounce it "cack - ification". You could use "Cakeification" or "Cake-ification" as your business name, with the former you could emphasize the "cake" part with a different style or overlaid graphic.

Thank you all SO very much...
Jason - that's exactly what I was wondering.. If, out of context, people would get it, i thought about Cakeification, but I dont like the look of the ei, However, now that you mention using a different font or what-not for the cake part... I think i like that.

For the person who mentioned californication.. That made me LOL.. I have been wanting to try a naughty cake one of these days, so who knows icon_wink.gif lol

I second (third?) the notion that I get what you're going for, but if I wasn't in cakes than it might not be that obvious.
