Don't you think we need a gallery specifically for cake pops and perhaps a discussion forum also?

I am new to "Cake Pops" and a "self-taught" Chocolatier. I made my first batch over the weekend and took them to church fellowship. I can say they didn't last very long on the platter.

Any help or ideas would be great!

I purchase my chocolate from a supplier in GA. and it is the best chocolate I have ever used and tasted. It is a bit more than other companies, but I feel the taste is well worth the price. icon_smile.gif

I love the idea of a forum and gallery! I made my first batch this weekend as well (even though I've been reading on them for about a year with Bakerella's cake pop book!). They were delish! I saw Wilton jumped on the wagon a little bit ago and has a few items that cater to cake pops, also.

I would love to see a specific forum for cakepops, techniques, discussion, photos, etc.

I think this is a great idea! I was about to pay $100 to attend a 2 1/2 class and thought... I better look on cake central to see what I can find.

Thank you. I guess what I am really searching for however is how to make them. I mean...where do you start?  I make cakes on the side, but I have had an order placed for cake pops and I honestly don't know where to start.

Go to www.youtube.com and there you'll find videos on how to.
