I attended a function last night that was fairly dressy. There was a girl wearing a dress that had silk rosettes attached all over the skirt part of the dress. All I could think of everytime I saw her was cake! She looked just like the rosette cake that has been so popular here the past couple of months! I guess I really shouldn't be a fashion critic but I think the rosettes look much better on cake than they do on a dress!

That's really funny! Everytime that I see rosettes on dresses I think the same thing!

lol..it does look better on a cake!!i have that same problem too..everything i look at..i seem to imagine it on a cake..i drive everyone nuts with this..but hey i love what i do!!

Funny! I do the same thing when I'm at the hair salon and get a chance to look through the Bridal magazines, wouldn't that flower, bow, etc.. look great on a cake?

I was in a bridal show once and the show had some teenage girls wearing formals, walking around the show to advertise the formalwear. I actually chased down one of these girls (fat woman running thru a mall ... not a pretty sight!) just to tell her that her dress would make a beautiful cake!

A few weeks later, this girl's mom called me to order a birthday cake for her daughter that looked like that dress! They drove 75 miles from my small hometown for this cake!

When my youngest daughter was going to her first 8th grade dance, we were shopping for her dress. We were in Macy's and I pulled out a dress from the rack and said, "Wow! Look at this!" My son's then-girlfriend said "Isn't that a little old for her?" I said, "Not for the dance! But wouldn't that make a great looking cake?"

We cant' help it ..... we're cake freaks!

I was IMing with a cake friend during the Royal Wedding telecast. As soon as I saw it, I said, "The queen's hat looks like a cake!" It was 6:30 in the morning (and I am NOT a morning person). Zero coffee in my system, watching the wedding on 2 hours of sleep, and I'm already thinking about cake. LOL

Her Maj always wears hats of that shape and design. They suit her. LOL!

Glad to know it's not just me. I was sitting in on my living room couch, staring at the bottom of the coffee table, when my teenaged daughter suddenly woke me from my trance. She asked what I was looking at & I told her that the picture album & the cat's pillow together would make a great looking top & bottom tier together. She just rolled her eyes & laughed.
What can I say, I'm an addict...
