Calling All Airbrush Owners...

Hi all,
I saw a used airbrush compressor for sale and was considering purchasing it. I know it's a great deal money wise but am not sure it will do for my purposes. It is a Kopykake airmaster but it has a constant 55 psi airflow. Is that too much for cakes? Will I just blow holes in my frosting? There is no variable control.
Please advise,
Suzanne M.
I have the Kopykake Airmaster but is has 30psi w/ a speed control. If I turn it all the way up..it doesn't blow the icing off the cake, but I'm not sure what 50psi would do!
At 50 psi, you'd have to hold the brush farther away but you'd get a broader spray. Hey, does anyone if any aircompressor will work? My wife has one she uses for her art. It's only been used a few times with special markers. Could I use that for cakes? Of course I would buy a new airbrush setup for cakes.
Joe
