I am doing a wedding cake in May. The bride has supplied rhinestone ribbon, its about 1 wide and is solid rhinestones and its little heavy. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or ideas for the best way to attach this to the bottom of each layer of the cake. It is a square cake, five tiers. TIA

Attaching Rhinestone Ribbon???

I just did a large cake for a 60th birthday party last weekend and I had covered the cake with fondant. All I did was use gum paste glue and it held it perfectly. As I applied the glue to the cake I held the jeweled ribbon in place for a short time and it was fine. If you are using buttercream it should stick right to it.

Just stick 'em through the rhinestone banding and into the cake.
