I was making a fishing themed groom's cake. My grandchildren (2&3years old) know that the diningroom is off limits, but well they are 2 and 3 so they don't always comply with rules. So I had made the body of the fisherman and sat him on the edge of the dining table to dry. As I'm watching TV hours later my 3 year old grandson comes to the edge of the living room and says, "Granny, little man's head is yucky". I didn't quiet get it at the time and he said again that the head was yucky. My daughter is heading in his direction and follows him..then I hear "oh god mom come and look, oh god mom" .

Well....my fisherman was decapitated , and his partially chewed wet head was lying next to the body. My grandson is looking up at me all innocent....saying it was nasty (tylose and fondant...probably really did taste nasty).....I couldn't help but start laughing.....I couldn't even punish him because it was just pittiful looking lying there.

Luckily I still had a week to complete it and I really didn't like the little man to start with anyway....it gave me the chance to start over. Guess God works through 3year olds, because the fisherman came out much better the second time around
