Can you use Wilton or Americolor to color cream cheese frosting? I am trying to make a brown/chocolate color. If not, could you just add cocoa powder?

I have used both to color cream cheese frosting and have had no problem. I dont think I would use cocoa powder unless you wanted it to taste like chocolate cream cheese frosting?

I have colored cream cheese frosting without any problem. I have also made chocolate cream cheese frosting by adding melted bittersweet chocolate to my regular cream cheese frosting, adding a small amount of powdered sugar if it gets too thin.
