How Do I Make Hang Bag Hooks And Handles Using Fondant?

Hi I am new to CC and decorating cakes. I am doing a coach bag for my moms friend and it has to be done by this friday. I havent started yet because I am having trouble with trying to get the handle and hooks attached to eachother. And to get my handle to stand up PLEASE HELP icon_cry.gif I have to start by this evening and I do not know what to do at this point. I also am confused if I should use just gumpaste or gumpaste and fondant. Eveyones answers are welcomed here

I use would use gumpaste or 50/50 tylose & fondant mix. I also would attach with edible glue.

Sugar Cheryl is right.. I've tried many times without success.. I would recommend gum paste and making them days in advance. If you don't have time, just do a flat handle. I'll try to post a link of my last one that failed on me! Good luck...post pics when done icon_smile.gif

Thanks guys I didnt get my handles to stand but the gumpaste and fondant worked okay but next time I will use that link that you gave. this is my second cake so I have alot to learn icon_biggrin.gif
