does anyone else have problems with airbrushing? The results look slightly "spotty"... I've changed the nozzle and needle. It is a kopykake...
Usually the spotting is when you're concentrating on one spot for too long rather than keeping the airbrush moving. At least that's what happens to me.
Practice. Also, when you are spraying, do not start spraying directly on the cake - start a little off and keep it moving across. If you start by pointing right where you are aiming, you may get the spot. I would be some books on airbrushing and practice on paper towels. That's how I started. I'm not great, so hopefully someone else will have some other ideas, but this is what works for me. HTH
I think I know what you are saying...try turning the knob up to a higher pressure air flow but then just don't push the button on the airbrush very hard....at lower air speeds sometimes it tends to be a little spotty (I assume you are speaking of very tiny spots as if the mist is not fine enough, rather than spots caused by uneven airbrushing.)
I have the Kopykake machine and I do get that at times.....especially dark colors over white.
