This is a great thread for us newbies. I am just starting out and was want to make sure I'm not undercharging (or overcharging). I know it varies by area but was wondering what would you guys charge for the following cakes?
This one is a 9x13 that I did for a friend's baby shower. It is covered in MMF.

This one was done for my daughter's birthday. It was carved from 2 10-inch round cakes and the blanket is MMF.

Thanks for your input!
It does depend on the area you are in. Most people charge per serving, so it would depend on how many servings each cake gave. I charged $3.50 per serving for a standard tiered cake and $4.00 per serving for anything carved like the dog cake.
You should also make sure the state/county you live in allows you to sell cakes you make out of your home, if that's what you're doing. Just be aware of the laws in your area.
Good luck!
Everyone price per serving can range form $2/serving (or less) up to $6 or $7 depending on location, cost of your materials, recipes used, and what you want to pay yourself hourly and what profit you want.
Check out this thread for how to price a cake. (or other products)

For the sheet I would charge between 60-100, depending on if it was a single layer or not, and also depending on the flavour. The puppy cake I would charge about $60-70. That's just based on my own personal pricing scheme for my area.
