Hw Do I Wire Cascading Flower For Wedding Cake

i hope some one can help me i am getting married next month and would like my wired flowers to cascade down the front edge of square four tier cake not sure how to wire them any advise please

Hi there, its a good idea to have a look at some videos


so you can get an idea of how they go together. Always leave a little room between all the flowers so they don't look too bunched up. If it's a heavy cascade you may need to do them in sections and put them in flower picks in the front of the cake in sections as otherwise it may tear the fondant away from the cake if they are too heavy in one big section. I normally start by putting all the flowers out on a towel (this will stop you breaking any when you put them down) and roughly place them in the design you would like before you start putting them together. That way you can move them around. When you start wiring together it may get a bit bulky so cut some of the wires off once you have wired them in so you don't have huge fat stems. it also makes it easier to put together HTH there are also some great books out there by people like Alan Dunn who gives step by step in their books on how to wire certain displays together

Also, I start inserting at the bottom of the cake & work towards the top so the flowers support each other.
