Anyone know link or tutorial for making fondant figurines? especially how to make the clothes for them. I figured out how to make head, hair, arms, legs, body, but not the clothes. I don't want naked figurines. lol.
Please help here. Thanks a lot.

There's a thread on here called "HUNDREDS OF TUTORIALS IN HERE" that might help you find what you're looking for. Here's the link:

I'd look first at aine2's (Lorraine McKay's) videos and then see what else you can find. Try googling "fondant figure tutorials" or something like that and see what turns up, too.

I use clay books. Same type of medium and it works well. My favorite for characters and clothing included is "How to Make Clay Characters" by Maureen Carlson. I get it out of my library. Fantastic book. HTH

Seeing trumpetmidget's post reminded me that there's a website belonging to a Brazilian woman named Katia Karvalho, who makes clay figures. I'm not sure if the instructions are in English or how detailed the photos are, but it might be worth a try. Here's a link to her site:

There's also a site for a Latin American arts and crafts cable network called Utilisima. Their website used to have some good cake toppers. Their address is
www.utilisima.com
Go to the section called "pasteles" (cakes) and click on whatever looks interesting.
