As a gift to my bf I am making a cake for her surprise 30th party. I am making use of some leftover fondant from another project so the color scheme is set.

So far I have an 8 inch bottom tier covered in white and a 6 inch covered in chocolate. I have more white, chocolate and aqua I am trying to work in.

I thought about choc. zebra stripes on bottom and aqua zebra stripes up top. The chocolate fondant wouldn't behave so the top tier has a bottom that is ruffled. It looks neat and intentional but it is now throwing my design process off. I also have some of Duff's metal/wire swirly sticks I would maybe like to try but I am at a loss. Any ideas or direction would be fantastic. Many thanks!
