I finally got my hands on my funky cutters, not easy here in Australia. I was so excited I got them out and started practising straight away. During my practise time, I was called away by the kids. When I went back to my cutters, I was very miffed that I couldn't find the strip with "a" on it....???
I started searching the house, turning it upside down... Looking in the fridge...dishwasher...begging the kids, if they "accidentally" took it to please please return it...
This went on for 2 hours. Eventually I sat down to work on other decorating things. I then, had another look (on the off chance that it magically reappeared) and guess what??? It did!!!!
I'd been looking at the 'a' the whole time...but thought it was a 'g'

Try loosing the dog in the house. I was house sitting for a friend, they have a Basenji (dog doesn't bark). I couldn't find the dog anywhere. I checked every room in the house, closets, everywhere. I scoured the yard, the house again and again. No scratching, no sounds, nada. Welllllll, the pantry was open and I had shut the door seeing that it was cracked(thought nothing of it).

The dog had been in the pantry for over 3 hours, had himself a meal of his dog food(thankfully dog food- he ripped the bag open), and decided to take a nap after his meal. Meanwhile, I was ready to call my friend to tell her I LOST her dog!!!

I do stuff like that it seems like everyday! This past Monday I was running around the house for 10 minutes searching for my keys, blaming the kids and the dogs only to realize they were in my hand the whole time! haha

Try doing that at a RESTAURANT!!!

I went to Subway one time. I had my food and drink (to go) and started searching for my keys in my pockets (I didn't take my purse in - just my keys and money). It was full of people and I was looking all over for them. THEN I realized I had them on my finger (I usually put the key ring on my finger). One lady was asking me what I was looking for and I told her the story. Talk about embarrasing!!

What a great way to start the day! icon_lol.gif One time I was talking on the phone while hubby drove, when we get out of the car I'm getting frantic looking around the console, etc. I start to sound slightly frantic and my friend (on the phone) says, "What's going on". I'm like, "I can't find... oh... I'm ON the phone. Nice." icon_redface.gificon_lol.gif

hauhauahua

I have a favorite hat that I couldn't part with for nothing in this world. One day I went to the movies with DH. The movie finished and then I went "where is my hat". I started looking for it everywhere and could not find it. Left and looked at the restrooms, nothing. Went back to my seat to look again. Now I have the workers cleaning the theater helping me look for my lost hat. Very sadly I gave up, left and went to my car. That's when I put my purse into my lap and felt a soft bulge. I opened my purse and there it was all the time!!!

I put my hat into my purse without even noticing. DH just looked at me and said nothing. He had the sense of better not to. icon_smile.gif

Woah! Can you get them trained like that??! Hahaha! Doesn't that just make you feel stupid though? My biggest problem is that if I do something like that and 'get away with it' (in other words no one was around to see it) it's so funny and ridiculous that I immediately call someone like my mom and bust myself out! icon_lol.gificon_rolleyes.gif

I've done the missing keys....and they are hooked to my finger like a ring....looking everywhere like a fool and starting to panic....hehehehehe
Now when ANYTHING like that happens I blame it on menopause! Works great! icon_biggrin.gif

I once rested my hand on my lap and noticed that my keys weren't in my pocket, where I ALWAYS kept them. I had a brief panic...until I realized that they were in the ignition...because I was driving.

You guys are cracking me up! I do that stuff all the time.
I normally keep several pairs of sunglasses in our cars because if I don't wear them, I get migraines.
One day I was having a full blown COW because I had just had my glasses on and couldn't find them....hubby just sat there calmly watching..... I finally found them and put them on. Then when we get in public people are looking at me like I'm nuts....I can't figure it out until I took my glasses off...... I usually put them atop my head...but couldn't....because I already had a pair up there! [gets better] So I was a bit embarrased and asked him why he didn't tell me....still he's quiet.....so I try to hang them on my shirt collar and couldn't because my 3rd pair was already there! OMG !
This is a normal day for me. 8}}}}}
I won't even get into spraying myself in the eyes with gun scrubber, windex, or wd-40! lol

THAT was so funny! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif If I had that many pairs of glasses I'd probably do the same thing. I normally only wear glasses to drive and sometimes I panic and and say "where's my glasses!" only to hear "uh you're wearing them" icon_redface.gif

I did that. My sister and I were out shopping and I noticed I couldn't find my glasses (regular glasses, not sunglasses). I thought maybe I left them on the table at the restaurant where we had lunch an hour or two earlier. We drove back and I ran in and asked if anyone found glasses. The girl gave me a funny look and said "What kind? 'Cause there's some hanging on your neck."

If I tell my husband or daughter to go and get something in the house, I will tell them where to look for it. They usually come back and tell me they cannot find it. I go look and it is right where I told them it would be.

Now, when I go to look for something myself, I can never find it and spend hours sometimes obsessively looking for it. Just the other day I was looking for a tax paper, stayed up until 1:30 searching. I wound up having to call the town to get the numbers, then called my tax lady to give her the info. A few minutes after I hung up the phone, I found the paper, right on the TOP of the pile that I had looked through, several time!

My new excuse for this is ADHD! Yep, i was recently diagnosed, and a week later my daughter was too. I don't want to go on meds, or put her on them either. Her doctor put her on chocolate therapy! Yep, really! 70% or higher dark chocolate a few times a day. i decided to do that myself, too. We're still trying to get used to the nasty taste, so it has been slow doing it, but I do notice a bit of a difference, mainly when it wears off I start to feel frantic again. The doc said that it has to build up in the body, so we will see more of an effect if we eat it more regularly. I just have to remember to eat it and give it to her; I forget to do that! Her doc had me set a 'chocolate alarm' on my ipad! Oh, and for adults, we have to remember to adjust our caloric intake of other foods, or else can can gain a lot of weight!

For the past two weeks I have been in over drive with 'creative cakes thoughts'.. my mind has been one tracked and I often have that 'vacant' look about me when trying to respond in a conversation. 3 times in the past two weeks I've pulled up to work only to get a terrible shock to my daughter sitting in the back of the car in her seat looking at me all confused wondering why she hasn't been dropped off to daycare!!

I'll play.

The power went off in our house, so I thought I'd light some candles. Well the candles looked really pretty, and I just kept putting more out. Then I noticed that every time I lit a new candle, it would blow out.

What the heck's going on?

I look up and notice that the ceiling fan is making air currents that are blowing out the candles.

So I move the candles and relight.

Then it dawns on me . . . that the electricity is back on and I don't need the candles any more.
