my neice is having her baby shower in a couple of weeks and im thinking she is just going to want a blue cake..well wrong!! lol..she wants the theme to be disney cars..my problem with that is..how do i make it look like a baby shower cake and not just a disney cars cake that couldve been a birthday cake as well?ive looked all over the internet and couldnt find anything that had a babyshower incorperated in it..any ideas would be soo awesome..thanks!

Are you comfortable with 3D cakes? I would probally do a sculpted Lightening McQueen but I would make him shorter and chubbier to make him look like a baby. Than add a bonnet or diaper and give him a pacifier.

I was going to suggest pretty much the same thing as the last post. Disney babies (especially the princess dolls) are chubbier and have bigger eyes...plus the soother, rattle, etc. Do a chubbier 3-D shape and add baby accessories. Have fun!

that sounds sooooo cute!! ive done some3d cakes before..but not sure if i could pull off a car one...are there any tutorials out there for somthing like ths??

I found tons of tutorials when I did a search, here's one of them:

You will probally want to modify it a little bit (like shortning the hood) to make him more baby-like.

that was perfect! thank you soo much..i was thinking of buying the wilton car pan since its a chubby one..but i think i like this one better!

My son has a "cars" set that are called mini's . Alot smaller and "chubbier" if you google im sure you could find something to go by for decorating.

You could also make the baby accessories car like...like lightening McQueen could have a bottle with gas and a rattle that's a car tire...things like that to help with making it more babyish. Sounds really interesting! I can't wait to see the finished product!
