ice cubes made from sugar or gelatin

Can anyone give me a recipe for making realistic ice cubes out of boiled sugar or gelatin. What kind of mold do I need or can I pour the sugar on a silt mat or gelatin in a square pan and cut the cubes????
I need some real help here and would appreciate any and all help.

Not sure if it would work or not. But could you not just use an ice cube tray? I have these ones that have a squishy bottom, when you want to take the ice out you just lightly push up on the bottom of the cube. No cracking needed.

Are you wanting hard ice cubes or gummy ones? The recipe for the gelatin would differ, but I would think the gummy gelatin would work, in a plastic ice cube tray since the gelatin doesn't stick to plastic. I'm not sure about what shape you would get pouring isomalt onto a mat, I think it would need to be a silicon mold to get a cube shape. I do know there are instructions for making ice cubes if you do a search online.
