Have a customer who wants a peace, love, basketball, softball tiered cake. Here is her direct quote: "do the top cake like a yellow half of a softball with red stitching and the bottom cake like half of an orange basketball with black stripes. maybe do the peace sign sticking out of the very top in zebra or tye dye looking the a red heart." Of course i am new to all of this still and can't picture how to do all of this or how it would look good together. Any ideas ladies or gents?

Look through the photos and you will see plenty of ideas for softballs and basketball cakes. Then make a peace sign and a "love" heart out of fondant. Make them a week early and let them dry on a skewer and stick them out of the top like a street sign. If she has a message, maybe you can make a third fondant sign for that.
