I started using one and - Oh My it is soooooo easy and it puts the hole in the center for the SPS, so I don't have to remember!!!

Do you use only foamcore ? I'm wondering if their things I can use like cardboard etc.

Hello everybody. I originally posted about the drywall cutter and have recently received several questions about it. I have used it for cardboard as well and the brand name of mine is QLT by Marshalltown product number CC766. The blade is holding up well.
On the thicker boards I always turn it over and cut from the underside just to assure that I have a clean cut. Since there is a hole it the middle there is no fear of it not lining up
I also use it for foam core as well as card board, and I too turn it over and cut both sides if it is thick.
I can't wait for the hardware shops to open tomorrow so I can see if we can get a tool like that here in South Africa. Dry walls are not very common here.
Question 1 Would it cut neatly through paper e.g. for lining cake pans?
Question 2 - someone mentioned it was convenient that it cut a hole in the centre of the board, what would this hole be for?
Question 3 - when you have cut a board from foam how would you cover it

Thanks for this tip. This will be a lifesaver for me and my husband! We have been drawing circles and using a box cutter on foamcore and using scissors when a round cake board isnt exactly the right size!!! I love CC.
The dry wall tool puts a hole in the center that is convenient for use with the SPS stacking system. If you use the SPS to stack, you need to put a hole in the center of the cake board, before you slide it on top of the SPS plate.
what is a cake broad? lol

Get out of town!!!! I have been cutting my foam board circles with a box cutter then trimming with scissors because the box cutter does a crappy job...or maybe it's me doing a crappy job! Anyway, I just asked my hubby if he's ever heard of this tool and he said "sure". I want to knock him upside his head! He's the one who helps me trim the boards. I can't believe he didn't think to use this tool. I'm heading to Lowes tomorrow morning! Thanks for posting!
Can I find it at another store, say home depot?
I am heading there ASAP!!!
Thanks for the tip
I'm a "Cake Broad" and I thinik I need this tool. I would like to know if this is used because its cheaper to cut your own boards as opossed to buying them? And when do you buy the foamcore or cardboard to use?
