CC isn't an email service.

Are you perhaps talking about the PM function?

You know, I've always wondered that myself because there is a link in the gallery that says 'most emailed cake photos'. Perhaps it has a been disabled.

When I want to email a photo, I do one of two things.
If I know the person is a Cake Central member, I just copy the URL and paste it into an email.

If the person is not a member (I believe you have to be a member to view the gallery), then I right click on the photo, save it to my computer, then email it.

This works (copying the URL and pasting into an email) whether the person is a CC member or not. Anyone can view the gallery, but you have to be signed in to search the gallery.

Whenever I happen across a photo I think my daughter would like to see, I send it over to her computershe loves it.

Another option is to right click on the photo, copy. Then i right click "paste" it onto a word document. I can get 2 to 6 photos on one page, then I save the word doc & email that. Very handy if I'm emailing more than one and the recipient can print out one document and compare them all side by side.

This is more work than justified, but one time I was feeling creative and pasted photos in PowerPoint, adding my comments, ideas and suggestions to each one. Only did that once and it was a VERY special circumstance.

Thanks, Unlimited. I'm glad they fixed that. When I first started doing cakes I would search for cake photo using google, and of course many of the images would be from Cake Central. I was not able to view the image because I was not a member. (when I would click on the thumbnail, I would get a message to that effect.) That annoyed me so I actually didn't sign up to be a member for almost a year. I finally signed up and now I stay signed in all the time, so I didn't know that had been fixed.

You can also do this: set up an alternate account here and when sending links to customers, give them the user name and password to that account. Explain a little about how to save the photos that they are looking at to the Favorites, let you know and you can go in and check that. You can also put the photos that you want them to look at in the Favorites and the customer can check that.

I never knew it to be broken. If the image is posted directly into "The Lounge" forum, you wouldn't be able to access it to view unless you're signed in, but I've never experienced what you have. (Perhaps I haven't been a member long enough to know how it used to work.)
