I am making a half basketball cake tonight.. I just realized.. the basketball is textured.. lol. Small oversight.. I didnt play much sports as a kid
Anyway, any ideas on how to get that texture onto the fondant???

This may be kind of off the wall and I hope it's not too late, but maybe you could take one of those thin straws that they use for coffee stirrers and go over the whole cake with it. If I remember correctly, that's about the texture of a basketball. Of course, it would require the patience of Job...
