Can anyone please help. I have made rose leaves and wish to make them glossy or shine. Does someone know what i can use/or do????
Thanks Leanne
I am very very inexperienced, but I thought that people ran them through some steam, like with a tea pot, to make them glossy.
Yes, bcarb is right you can steam them and that is how you get the glossy look or I sometimes take a little color mixed with a little vanilla extra to thin it out and hand paint it on and that also give it a vibrant color.
Steaming is perfect!
Another idea is to cover them with pearl dust to give them a bit of a shine

Just be careful with the steam -just quickly pass them through the steam otherwise it will start to dissolve your sugar leaf!
You can also use a confectionary glaze. You dip it in and it will blend colors along with giving it a glossy finish. You can cut down the amount of shine you want by cutting it with actetone.
weirkd, you don't really mean that you use fingernail polish remover to thin it, do you?
