I need about 200 royal blue cupcake wrappers for a wedding I'm doing for a friend and the cheapest I can find them is about 33 cents each. Any body now of a cheaper option? Thanks.
You can make them yourself. Or maybe ask your friend to make them, or one of her bridesmaids. If you download a pattern from the web, you can print it out on the back side of the paper (not card stock) then cut it out. Attach the ends with some double sided tape.
If you know someone that has a Cricut or a sizzix, ask if they have the cupcake wrapper cartridge or die. With the sizzix you can cut out several at one time. Some scrapbook stores will let you use their sizzix for free if you purchase the paper from them.
By wrappers, do you mean the cups you bake in

or put the cupcake in after it's baked? If so, I would agree with Secretagentbaker....you can cut them out yourself with a Cricut and the cartridge. Contact your nearest Michaels Craft Store and see when their next "Crop Night" is. You simply pay a small fee and can use all their scrapbooking tools, including the Cricut. Just bring your paper. With so many to cut out, I would simply contact the manager and ask her/him is you can use it if you buy your card stock from them.
Good luck!
I think the cricut s the way to go with cupcake wrappers. I have the wrapper cartridge but I haven't used it because the SCAL software worked so well for me. If you can get access that would be my recommendation. There are a variety of templates you can download for free. I get 5 wrappers from a 12x12" paper, I only use cardstock for wrappers which typically runs me about .50 a sheet, of course I always try to catch it on sale for about .25 a sheet.
i have a pazzles cutter (similar to a cricit) and make all of my cupcake wrappers that way. like everyone else, 5 to a 12x12 sheet. sometimes you can find the cardstock cheap, sometimes not. good luck!
I'm looking for another type of wrapper, the fancy type you slip on after the cupcakes are cooked.

I have to say, 33 cents a piece is a FANTASTIC price for plain wrappers, let alone the fancy ones!! I'd jump on that price before the seller wises up.
