Oh I totally forgot about this thread!! I have not stopped singing it's praises since I found it. This fondant is simply amazing, it doesn't stretch, it doesn't tear, I don't get elephant skin on it - it's just marvellous. I roll it to about 1/16th inch, so super thin, and it's still a dream to work with. I'm so glad I found it.

If this thread is still going... what would you get if you could go to the States?
I'm going there in November and don't know what to look out for.
I have an Agbay and a Cricut already.

For the longest time I just knew that you guys in the UK had a veritable Shangri-La of caking supplies, because when I was a kid twenty years ago, the cake shops in North Carolina had to order all of the interesting toys from...England. The really stunning cake books were English and Australian and I wanted to try everything in them.
I was so jealous, thinking you could just march into cake stores and not have someone look at you like you had a second head growing out of your neck when you asked for fondant or crimpers or gum tragacanth. Thank the cake gods for Nicholas Lodge and his tylose sugarpaste recipe, because I could finally quit trying to find the ingredients required in the flower paste recipes in those books

I live in the states, but I have a lot of luck with Squires Kitchen, especially for veiners. They have all sorts of things gumpaste related. squires-shop.co.uk if my memory serves me right. Another good source for veiners ( and tutorials ) is duskyroseveiners.co.uk., but veiners is all they do, though, botanically correct, too. They have really good prices, too.
