While visiting our daughter in Madison, we made a small day trip over to New Glarius, WI. It's a small Swiss village that had a small bakery that we wondered into. I got a small cake that was covered in something close to a butter buttercream and finely chopped salted peanuts.
When I bought it, I was thinking traditional "peanut butter." It didn't take but one bite to realize it was a layer of peanuts over a butter frosting. I have searched for a recipe and have had no luck. The cake was very light and airy. I would love any suggestions.
