Hi, All.
Just found out today that on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 the NJ Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee will be hearing S2734 - Permits sale of home-baked goods under certain circumstances. The hearing will take place in Trenton at the State House Annex. I believe this is the address: State House Annex Welcome Center, 125 West State Street, Trenton, NJ 08608
(609) 777-2719. (I will double check on this.)
Please, please, please, if you can make it there, we need your support. I know it's short notice, but we knew it would be that way.
Either right outside the room, or right inside, there are slips of paper that you can fill out stating whether you're for or against the bill, briefly state why, and whether you want to testify (if you'd like to, they ask that you keep it brief - about 5 minutes). You can also bring written testimony (you'll need about 20 copies) and they need to be handed in before the hearing begins. It's scheduled for 1pm, but usually starts a bit late. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT to BE THERE and LET ME KNOW IF YOU'RE COMING. I'd like to see how many supporters will be there. Please e-mail me at SPFCakes@yahoo.com to let me know.
THIS IS IMPORTANT and we NEED to show them there are NUMEROUS supporters out there that want this bill passed!
Also, I found out today that Assemblyman Vincent Prieto (Domocrat) District 32, last week dropped/introduced the companion bill A4307!! I have calls in to my district's Assemblypeople asking them to co-sponsor this, please ask your district's Asm/Asw. to do the same!! (Remember to check to see who your representative is since redisctricting took place this past year).
- Grace
