for jumbo cupcakes? I'm not at home right now and i have no idea what size scoops i already have at home. i just dont wanna buy the same size and not realize it!
thanks!!
Lol is there an icecream scoop that big
If so I've never seen it, I'll probably go with 3/4 full basis, sorry not that much of an answer to your question
It's been awhile since i've made jumbo, but i'm thinking i just used 3 scoops of the #20 (which holds about 3T).
i should have been more specific. Jumbo would be the normal size (to us bakers) as compared to the smaller cupcakes (which is normal to non bakers)....does that make any sense? lol
Size 40. [mini cupcakes 1 ounce capacity]
Size 20..[ smaller cupcakes - 1/4 to 1/3 cup capacity]
Size 16..[ 1/3 cup capacity]
Size 12..[ 1/2 cup capacity]
Size 10..[ texas muffins - size varies]
Size 8...[ jumbo - size varies]
Hello! This is a pretty old thread but I'm just coming across it as I try to buy new scoops for 'standard' size cupcakes & minis ~ the site I was looking at has way different numbers....
http://www.chefs-resources.com/Scoop-DisherSizes
so I want to hear what I'm looking for ~ sounds like the #20 for regular... what about minis?
(I linked to this site earlier on CakeCentral... but all the other threads have different numbers than this list)
You'll need a #50 for your minis. Look at this site...she has a great blog about disher sizes. :)

Thank you, I guess there are lots of opinions out there... this site above says size 24 for regular.. and the other post I saw said 60 for mini.. so confusing!
Yeah I guess it depends on what company you are using. Once you find what you like, remember where you got them when you need replacements. :) I always bookmark/save to favorites the sites I purchase from.
