I am needing a 3D stilleto high heel mold. I've seen a few when I search google, but I'm not sure which one to choose.
Thanks,
Vonda
I think Steven Benison has a nice stiletto heel mold..4 inches I think..It comes as part of his high heel kit...it is made of silicone or I could be wrong..The kit is about $70.00 though...

Sounds awesome and I'm sure its fantastic. My budget, however, is leaning more towards $25.00 or less.

Here a link to a video that may help if you can't buy the mold in your price range. I will tell you from what I've seen $70 for a high heel mold is a good deal. maybe the video can help you more
The video comes in more than one part however, it will pop after the 1st video fiishes
Sugar Delites has a mold (2 pieces) for $6.00. It looks good, but I don't like the style of the shoe.

I don't like any shoe mold out there. They aren't realistic enough and I want it to look like you could pick it up and put it on if it was your size. The cutters and molds are also small and are slightly shaped weird IMO. I prefer to make large shoes around a size real woman's 4-5. I made a new drying form for each shoe I make depending on how high the heal is and how arched the sole needs to be. Eventually I will have a few that I'll stick with and only vary up the upper portion of the shoe's styles. It's not hard to bend some thing into the right shape for it to dry on for a few days. Cardboard, plastic cutting mats... the possibilities are limitless. Think like Mac Gyver.
I just uploaded a pic of one of the shoes I've made this way.

sadsmile, I love that shoe!! how did you get the heel so high using gumpaste? I find it hard to get the heel tall and straight, do you let it dry lying down? and whats the top of it looklike before you add the rest, do you flatten the base out like ove seen some people do?
I just made my first shoe and it turned out great. I watched the video from Pink Cake Box. They have you use an actual shoe that is sut up for the template. I bought a pair from the shoe store for $9. Can't beat that! Plus I can continue to re-use the shoe for the future. Good Luck!
I formed the heel to fit under the arch of the shoe and let it dry laying down till completely dry- 3days. I let the sole dry completely also and then glued the heel under made the insert and toe and heal cap.
You all are far more talented than I. I prefer a simple mold that I will be able to work with. It's just a hobby, if I were in business I would definitely buy a great mold or learn how to make the shoe without it.

Check out the link for the YouTube Video ... I posted it above above & jennilynn03 also posted it. She teaches you without the use of a mold. The shoes turn out really well & look very natural. Also you can do them in the size that actually looks like someone would wear them ... Really simple instructions easy to follow.

What the heck, I will give it a try.
Thank you for the encouragement.

http://www.jenniferdontz.com/High-Heel-Shoe-Kit-5-Inch-2_p_1366.html try this one, looks pretty good and they have the tutorial as well on how to do one http://hosted-p0.vresp.com/362714/d9a6db4234/ARCHIVE
I got the one from Cake Structure (~$50). It has templates for the straps, a sole cutter, and (most importantly) the heel mold. I had to make 1 or 2 to get the hang of it, but thought the third came ok decent (one in my avatar pic). And it comes in a cute shoe box :)
