This last weekend we had a huge family gathering. Thursday we celebrated (suprise mom and dad) my parent's 30th wedding anniversary. I made a 'family tree' cake for them. Since my madien name is Pechin (pronouced peach-in) I made a peach tree. I wrote all of our names on it-but that's kinda hard to see.
Friday was my brother's wedding. I did the wedding cake and a grooms cheesecake. I don't have a picture of the groomscake (I'm working on it) but here is the wedding cake.
It was also my daughters 3rd birthday so we had a party for her on Sunday and I made a dora cake. I was out of state and had brought as much stuff of mine as I could to make cakes with- but I forgot my tackle box full of bags, tips and colors!! I ended up spending $50 on stuff I already had at home. I was so sad.

I wish I got R&R!! Unfortunately I'm moving on Monday- so I've got TONS to do in the next few days.
Holy smokes, girl!! You are busy... but your cakes turned out great! I LOVE the wedding cake... just beautiful!
Wow!! You are one busy little bee!!! You did wonderfully on the cakes!! I love them. The whole peach tree thing was so cute! Keep up with all of the good work.

Busy, Busy.... Too bad about having to get new tips, I'm always forgetting things too!!!
Great job on the cakes despite the hectic time schedule. I really like the Wedding cake, simple and elegant in its look, not meaning simple in the making. The family tree was cute too, thought a couple of times of doing one but from a family of seven kids and all of us have kids, don't think we would all fit !
Take a breather now and do something to spoil yourself !

Those look great! Especially the wedding cake. Can I PM you sometime because I have been wondering about how to make a wedding cake out of cheesecake and still be able to frost and decorate it like a regular cake.
Thanks in advance,
Heather
Great Jobs!!! I understand how you feel, I had 7 2 weekends ago!! Only 2 last weekend and one today-have a week off before I start again-when it rains it pours!!!!
The cheesecake was actually a groomscake. I didn't get a picture of it in all the craziness, but it was covered in gnache and surrounded and topped with truffles. The wedding cake was chocolate with chocolate mousse filling and white cake with strawberries and cream cheese.
There are nine kids in our family and alf of us are married with kids- it was a tight fit getting everyone on!
Thanks for the compliments- it was a crazy weekend!

Great job! I'm still working on what I can do when, and time management. I'd have been a wreck if I'd had that much to do, but you pulled it off beautifully. Your family is lucky to have you. Good luck with the move!

Your cakes look great. I know it was exhausting but doesn't it make you feel good at the same time that you accomplished so much.
I would not feel bad about having to buy tips, bags, etc. You can never have too many of the tips that are used most often and bags and colors will come in handy in the future.
