A friend of mine is getting married in 2007.. and is having an engagement party at the end of october.
She wants me to do their engagement cake.. it is a halloween themed cake and needs to feed approx 100 ppl.

I want to give her a good deal on this.. because she is my friend AND because she said she would put out some buisness cards for me.. so i'll hopefully get more orders.

now.. she said she would probably want sheet cakes.. so how many would i need to feed that many ppl.. and how much should i charge?

All depending on how extensive the detail is, I would charge at least 85.00 since she is going to try and help you get some cake orders. This may be a little low, but that is what I would chargeicon_smile.gif

well it's going to be a transfer of a picture i found online.. of jack and sally from the nightmare before christmas movie.. so it will be pretty detailed.. but since i will be able to get some notice from all her guests i don't mind putting in the work to get some recognition in return.

another question.. what are the measurements of a full sheet cake... and where do i get the pan for it?

There has been a lot of different opinons on this subject, I bake (2) 12x18 cakes and put them together. You can find the pans at Micheals or any cake supply store. Hope this helpsicon_smile.gif

I too use the half sheet and put the two halfs together. This saves alot of time and worry. You don't have to use the heating core with the half sheet like you would the whole sheet pan. And you cando half yellow cake and half chocolate. I have found that this satisfies everyones different tastes. Plus, just an idea, you can dye the yellow cake orange for halloween colors!!! I usually charge 60 for a whole sheet for normal deco, and 70 for detailed deco. Hope this helps! sounds like you already have some great ideas!
