A business owner saw some cookies I made for a friend's b-day party and is interested ib putting them in her cafe'. I don't have a license. How do I handle this? Someone, please advise. What would you do??

Thanks in advance for all replies! icon_confused.gif

What an honor! I would not know for sure what to do. Good luck!

Be honest with her - tell you you appreciate the offer, but you are not "licensed", in case that causes a problem. Maybe if you can bake in her cafe, that might cover any legal/health issues icon_rolleyes.gif ...not sure, just guessing at that.

I agree....just tell her and see if you can bake there. Maybe you could even trade for more time in the kitchen for other orders!!

She may already know or should know. I mean just because you brought cookies to a friends party doesn't mean you have a license. I wouldn't expect people that bring things to our parties to have a food license. Be honest with her and then again she may not even care. Maybe you can swap payment for the use of her kitchen, or bake them in her kitchen. Just be honest and go from there. thumbs_up.gif
