hello!
I'm trying to make this dog:

out of fondant so I can use it as a cupcake topper (it will be much smaller than the picture ofcourse lol) but I just cant get it right

anyone know of any really good tutorials? or have any tips for me?

Can you get away with just doing the dog's head? If yes, that would be much easier to make (also simpler to scale for cupcakes). I would start with a ball of pink fondant, roll it slightly to get the snout, and add ears. For the white dots, I would roll white fondant very thin and cut the dots with a small round pastry tip. Then carefully press the dots into the dog's head and smooth out with your fingers.

Or, if you have an extruder, you could extrude white fondant and cut thin slices off to get your white dots.

I wish I could get away with the just dogs head thank you for the suggestions!!

What if you did a 2 dimensional version? You can use dog shaped cookie cutters, roll out pink fondant and then dot with royal icing for the white spots.

lol that was my last resort but unfortunately the only good dog cookie cutter i could find was about the size of my palm lol way too big. hopefully I can find something tomorrow thank you so much for the suggestion
