Any idea what to use to achieve this? Like what kind of chocolate cake, cream filling recipe, and would you do like a thin layer of chocolate syrup on top of your creme filling?
Someone suggested this half kidding and I started thinking it sounded good.

I do a chocolate wasc without the almond flavoring. Fill with a thick layer of Rich's Bettercream whipped up according to Melviras recipe, the "richer" one with pudding and milk and then I added some marshmellow Torani's syrup. Iced with milk chocolate ganache. Can't roll it though if you were going for the full effect.

OMG! That sounds awesome... I never thought of that... I would you chocolate sponge cake, a Twinkie or Hostess cupcake filling (CC has recipes that I found but haven't tried yet), and then a dark chocolate ganache on top... Try to find a jelly roll type of cake and you should be able to roll it too... HTH
